The beach at West Runton is a fantastic example of the rugged beauty that this section of the Norfolk coast displays.
The majestic cliffs back down onto a rocky outcrop, littered with rock pools that childern love to explore. At low tide a flat area of sand is exposed, which makes for great swimming.
West Runton is famous for the prehistoric elephant discovered in the cliffs here in the 1990s, the oldest of its kind ever to be discovered in the UK.
West Runton has shops and pubs, and is situated just a couple of miles from the larger seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer.
