More Details

Cromer’s sand and shingle beach, backed by cliffs, is ideal for families. Lifeguards are present from May Bank Holiday to the end of September. Low tide leaves pools along the beach to the delight of small children. The promenade extends for some distance either side of Cromer Pier, giving access to beach huts cafes, a small children’s amusement arcade, toilets and the RNLI Henry Blogg Lifeboat Museum with the Rocket Café/Restaurant above. Disabled parking is provided on the Promenade. The Pier houses the Pavilion Theatre and the Cromer Lifeboat Station.
Crab fishermen’s boats drawn up on the beach give authentic charm to this Victorian era resort. Above the beach, Cromer offers all the amenities of a seaside town. There are plenty of amenities and leisure activities with in easy reach of the beach. A cliff top path leads through public gardens to the Cromer Lighthouse, Royal Cromer Golf Course and along to Overstrand.

Cromer is one of the larger towns along the North Norfolk coast.
The town itself is full of tourist attractions, shops, arcades, pubs, restaurants and a cinema. Down on the traditional seafront there are fairground rides for the children, and a traditional pier with the Pavilion Theatre, with regular seasonal seaside shows for all the family.
A walk or a short drive around the coast will take you to the Happy Valley, a more secluded spot where a winding stairway is cut into the cliffs and leads you down to a sheltered, sandy cove perfect for a quiet afternoon in the sun.
At the bottom of the Slipway to the East of Cromer Pier you will find The Lifeboat Museum, and above it the Rocket Cafe, both well worth a visit.
