Built before 1815 the cottage was once the home of Mr. Huggins a local clock maker in the mid-Victorian period. The clock on the outside of the cottage dates from that time.
The open tread staircase and steps up into the sitting room, garden room and the main bedroom upstairs are reminders that different demands have been put on the cottage by the families who have lived here.
The cottage is well equipped. It can sleep 6 people in three double bedrooms two doubles and a twin. The upstairs bathroom has a shower, hand-basin and toilet. Another toilet is located downstairs.
The sitting room has a TV, CD and DVD player and a log burning stove. The cottage has central heating for winter use.
The kitchen dining room has a dishwasher, a touch operated hob, a double oven, a fridge freezer and a dining table with six chairs. There is a washing machine in the boot room.
The garden room has a second TV and overlooks a small private garden with a patio area containing table and chairs.
Sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases and towels are not normaly provided unless requested.
The cottage is pet-free and non-smoking
Change over is on a Friday. The cottage will be ready at 2.30pm, and you will need to vacate the cottage by 10am. Late arrivals after 5pm by arrangement.
To reserve the cottage we will need a 10% non-refundable deposit. The balance is due six weeks before the start of the holiday.
The cottage has easy access to Burnham Market and is central to reach the Norfolk Heritage Coastline. There is a good butcher shop, a local post office village store pubs and tennis court nearby. It is ideal for bird watching, Fakenham Horse races, historic houses, Norfolk Lavender and coastal walking.
