Norfolk's longest fifteen inch gauge line runs between the ancient market town of Aylsham and Wroxham, the 'Capital of the Norfolk Broads' with country stations serving the villages of Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall.

The 18 mile round trip runs through the picturesque Bure valley countryside following the meandering river through meadowland and ancient pasture stopping occasionally at small country villages.

TRAIN INFORMATION
The railway operates services using either Steam or Diesel locomotives.

On Days the railway operates, there are at least three trains a day with up to seven services running at peak weekends and during special events.

SPECIAL EVENTS
The Bure Valley Railway stage a range of regular and one-off events throughout the year including a Model Railway Exhibition or Santa Special trains.

WALKING & CYCLING
A cycle and footpath has been constructed along the railway's entire length allowing cyclists and walkers of all abilities to enjoy the Norfolk countryside. Walk or cycle one way and take the train back for a day out with a difference.

VISITOR INFORMATION
The main station on the Bure Valley Railway is at Aylsham on the A140 North of Norwich. Meals and light refreshments are available from our 'Whitlestop Restaurant' and there is a large souvenier and model railway shop.
