ARRIVAL

Getting to Brackenhill Lodge by car requires a short drive along an un-metalled road at the end
of which you will find a generous guest parking area.

A short walk up a wooded path leads directly to the Lodge. Although you can avoid steps to reach the Lodge the path is quite steep and not really recommended for wheelchair users, but please call us if you have particular requirements.

It will comfortably sleep four in its well appointed twin and double bedrooms and has a power shower equipped shower room with a separate guest cloakroom.

The open plan living area has a fully appointed kitchen with dining for four and a lounge area with comfortable seating for relaxing.

The lodge has its own private garden area with outdoor table and chairs.

You will find tea, coffee and fresh milk on your arrival, make a pot of tea, put your feet up and unwind after your journey.

FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS

Brackenhill Lodge is definitely dog and other pets as well friendly, please just let us know who you intend to bring as your furry holiday friend and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Outside Features

Our gardens are open to all guests, and are a real picture in the spring with numerous varieties of rhododendron, native bulbs and daffodils in abundance at this time and bluebells carpeting the wilder wooded areas.

The more formal lawns, shrubberies and flower beds are pretty in summer, with the Chestnut and Oak trees providing shady spots on balmy sunny days.

In the autumn and winter months the abundance of pine trees and evergreens throughout mean the gardens never feel bare and a light dusting of snow gives them a truly alpine feel.

Location

In an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Brackenhill Lodge nestles in a secluded spot on a wooded hillside within three acres of mature woodland gardens with distant views of this Heritage Coast Line.

Sheringham is one of Norfolks most quintessential seaside towns.
A wonderful selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, stalls and hotels meander all the way down to the sea front, where a good stretch of sand is exposed at low tide for families to play on.
In the centre of town in the old Station you can find one the North Norfolk Steam Railway, a fully functioning steam train which runs along from here to Holt Station.
Further around the coast to the East a clifftop path leads to Beeston Bump, one of the highest points along the Norfolk coast which affords excellent views over the surrounding area. The town has plenty going on, with a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, and the Sheringham Little Theatre.
