My name is Vaughn my family has lived in the Blakeney area for at least 200 years where over the last 16 years my wife, Cristina, and I have built our house, Broadview and our holiday cottages Alice, Hatter, Dormouse and March Hare. When I say we built them that is exactly what we did. Every flint we picked from the quarry every brick, block and tile we laid.

The cottages were created using traditional skills handed down from father to son combined with all the technological luxuries which our 21st century lives demand and finished with a touch of magic which is left for each guest to discover for themselves.

We are proud of our cottages and the service we provide and this is reflected by the majority of guests returning year after year. We clean and maintain the cottages ourselves and therefore are responsible and always on hand should any assistance be required.

Self catering accommodation is offered all year with Bed & Breakfast available between October & March. The cottages sleep 5, 3 and 2. Their theme stems from our Easter party and my top hat. Much as we love animals in the interest of hygiene, sorry, but we do not allow pets.

Sheltered by Blakeney point, the Village of Blakeney is one of the most picturesque in Norfolk. Crabbing off the quay is a popular pastime with children.
In the evening the sun sets over the creek, creating some truly breathtaking views.
Seal trips take holidaymakers to Blakeney Point, although they mostly leave from Morston the neighbouring village along the coast as the channel in Blakeney is now very silted. You can see the seals as they bask on the sand of Blakeney point.
Blakeney regatta takes place on the last weekend in July each year, with hundreds of people coming together to participate in (or just watch) a fantastic array of swimming races, tug-of-war across the creek, and of course the infamous greasy pole competition.

Blakeney is located on the North Norfolk Coast, just North of the small market town of Holt.
This part of the coastline has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ANOB and the marshes and wide open spaces around Blakeney make it a haven for migratory birds and wildlife.

Blakeney used to be a small port, but is now a quiet village and provides an ideal location for a family holiday. There are two hotels, a number of holiday cottages to rent, and several B&Bs.

The village has a strong identity, and is a thriving and active community. There is a small supermarket, butchers, fishmongers, and chandlers, pubs and a post office as well a range of shops for holidaymakers

Blakeney is popular with dinghy sailors, bird watc...
