Location

Situated on a quiet road in Heacham village, Belmont House offers spacious accommodation for up to 9 people in 5 bedrooms. The cottage is near many beaches on the North Norfolk Coast and also has access to great walks.

Local attractions:
. The pretty little village of Heacham with its good choice of shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways is the centre of the Norfolk lavender-growing industry, and Caley Mill, where the essence is distilled, can be visited free of charge

. Hunstanton 2 miles has all the seaside attributes for a lovely holiday: miles of sandy beaches with rock pools, majestic cliffs, amusements and water sports, as well as tennis, croquet, bowls, golf, shops, restaurants and inns, leisure and Sea Life centres

. The bird reserves of Snettisham and Titchwell are both within easy reach

. There are numerous quality pubs nearby that are child friendly, offering excellent food, wine and traditional ales

. Inland, there are splendid stately homes to visit, with the Queen's country home at Sandringham closest at 6 miles

. Holkham Hall makes for an enjoyable day out. Within the grounds, there is a 80-foot-high obelisk on top of a grassy mound, where views of both the hall and grounds can be seen. There is plenty of birdlife found within the grounds, and a footpath leads from the estate to Holkham Bay, where one of the finest sandy beaches, fringed by pine-studded sand dunes can be found

. Kings Lynn offers a wealth of shops, restaurants and theatres as well as a large leisure centre

· Snettisham Park Farm is less than three miles away. The farm is a must for all ages, where you can see the famous red deer or feed lambs, kid goats and piglets

· Golf Courses There are several excellent Golf Courses very close to Heacham. Both the Hunstanton and the Royal West Norfolk Golf Clubs offer superb links courses, whilst King's Lynn Golf Club is a very nice parkland course

Low tide at Heacham affords some spectacular views across the flat, sandy beach. The beach itself is backed by sand dunes in places, while further down the beach is a wide promenade with a row of traditional beach huts.

Heacham is one of the main producers of Norfolk Lavender, and the nearby lavender farm, Caley Mill is well worth a visit.

The village of Heacham itself has a good variety of pubs and restaurants, as well as a tea room and a fish and chip shop. Nearby, the larger seaside town of Hunstanton has a wealth of shops as well as the local Sea Life Centre, which is well worth a visit.

Heacham has 2 beaches and a promenade that accesses Hunstanton, a great walk on a fine day or to watch the sun set over The Wash.
Heacham is mid-way between the RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell.
