The perfect self catering holiday cottage for couples

The open plan layout of Bailey’s Barn takes advantage of the beautiful old roof beams and original sloping walls, while the modern interior provides everything you could need for a relaxing break away from everyday life.

The ground floor comprises a pleasant open plan living area with sitting area containing a 32 flat screen satellite TV, DVD player and music system. There is a dining area with table and chairs (high chair available. The fully equipped kitchen includes electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment. There is a wet room shower, washbasin and w.c. The comfortable double bed is on the first floor gallery with sky light windows perfect for star gazing.

Despite the remoteness of North Norfolk there is no need to be out of touch with speedy broadband, wi-fi, internet access. The under-floor heating keeps Bailey's at a comfortable temperature even without the wood burning stove. The welcome basket you receive on arrival contains homemade produce (bread, jam), locally sourced produce (apple juice, eggs, cheese, and milk) as well as tea, coffee, orange juice and biscuits.

The friendly owners, Gill and Dom, live at the southern end of the barns and are on hand to deal with any problems or to give advice about things to do, while completely respecting your privacy. Outside and garden

Outside the old farmyard is now a beautiful shared courtyard garden with a rose covered pergola dividing it into private sections for each cottage.

Bailey's has its own garden furniture. Under the covered barn forming the fourth side of the courtyard is a full size table tennis table, washing machine and tumble dryer, a log store for the woodburner and plenty of bike storage.

Immediately outside the courtyard is ample parking.

Surrounding area

Whether you’re curling up in front of the wood burning stove or lying in bed looking up at the stars, this cosy, self catering holiday cottage is a perfect base to explore North Norfolk, including the local National Trust properties of Felbrigg, Blickling and Sheringham Park, the stately homes of Wolterton (half a mile away) and Mannington, the Weavers Way or nearby Holt.
